DIY Hot Chocolate Bar

Baby, it’s cold outside!  There is nothing like a rich, steaming cup of chocolatey goodness on a cold winter day.  Hot Chocolate Bars are a perfect addition to your holiday parties, or any cold day for that matter.  Try it for your Christmas or New Year’s get-togethers and I guarantee your guests will not be disappointed!

To get started, pick up some powdered hot cocoa mix, OR, if you're up for it, make it from scratch.  This recipe from Living A Sunshine Life is a delicious option. You will LOVE it!

The best part of the hot chocolate bar is choosing the toppings, so be creative.  As you see in the photos, I used marshmallows, chocolate chips, and peppermint sticks, which is all I had on hand, but you could include different candies, whipped cream, marshmallow cream, cookie crumbs, or a drizzle of caramel sauce.  Oh the possibilities!!!

Serve your hot chocolate alongside some delicious homemade treats and you've got yourself one sweet cozy party!

Lastly, decor.  This sign from us at Handmade & Reclaimed is a great option to add decor to your Hot Chocolate Bar and take it to the next level.

Here are some pictures of my hot chocolate bar that I have been enjoying this winter season.
